Hi! My name is Kelsey and I am the hands and heart behind Joifel Creative.

I am a Christ follower, a wife, and a creative soul. I love to laugh and have been called a “sucker for fun” — which is a title I will proudly wear. I am originally from the US (small town Pennsylvania to be exact), which will always hold a piece of my heart. I met my husband, Josh (an Aussie) while living in Florida and am now blessed to call Australia home. For the last 3 years, Josh and I have lived in both Gerringong and Berry (South Coast, NSW) which are genuinely some of the most beautiful places on Earth. We have two budgies named Buddy and Werri who bring so much joy and excitement to our otherwise pretty quiet life.

When I moved here to Oz, what blossomed was a love for the stunning wildlife and vegetation that are Native to this beautiful country. Australian birds and botanicals have inspired a majority of what I create these days.

I’ve spent my whole life exploring creativity in one form or another — from musical theatre and piano to painting, sculpture, hand lettering, crochet, and everything in between. I believe that this creative desire comes from God — the ultimate Creator — and I love being able to reflect His artistry in the work I do with my hands.

Over the years, I’ve tried just about every craft imaginable. Some didn’t quite stick — crochet and knitting tested my patience, and performing arts never felt like a long-term fit for my quieter spirit. But then I found embroidery…

It was the first creative outlet that truly felt like home. Embroidery is thoughtful, grounding, and full of small freedoms — no strict patterns, no spotlight — just thread, fabric, and the joy of bringing something beautiful to life. I get to sketch, design, and stitch pieces that reflect the soft and simple beauty I see around me — from blooming gardens to native birds.

Embroidery travels with me wherever I go. It’s a slow, quiet kind of joy — and Joifel Creative is my way of sharing that joy with you. Every piece is handmade, ethically sourced, and stitched with care. I hope these caps bring a little bit of that peace and beauty into your everyday life, too.
